School Outdoor Education Programs

bikeNOW Outdoors

Helping improve the social, emotional and cognitive health in youth through cycling.

We deliver custom tailored cycling programs to Victorian schools as part of their Outdoor Education syllabus.

Let's shape the future together

So many kids find the demands of school and life overwhelming. We are now more than ever making the connection between exercise and improved health and happiness to decrease anxiety, depression, obesity and isolation to name a few. We use the power of cycling to engage with kids and young adults to provide achievable outcomes that can be related back to everyday life.

An outdoor activity in a small group with access to the outside world, especially a multi-day, point to point cycling adventure, presents participants with a whole new set of challenges that require increased self-management and group responsibility, especially for the most critical year 9 level students.

Over our 25 year collaboration with various education organisations, we have refined our range of cycling programs that offer differing intensity, duration, and frequency to achieve the highest results suited to your learning outcomes.

Testimonials
The chance to ride a bike through the bush for six days is one of the bonuses of being a teacher. Taking a group of students on a MTB Adventure camp is both a chance to see them have fun as well as learn. The great thing about the way that BikeNow runs these camps is that they love bikes and all things to do with riding and want to share that joy. Good skills make for safe riding and for enjoyable experiences. The enthusiasm of the staff of BikeNow in sharing all things bike and learning how to face the challenges of the ride is one of the reasons that the camps offer so much to students for the challenges they will face in life. The trips are always memorable and always worthwhile for the students – and a great time for the staff as well.

Warren & his team from bikeNOW have been running mountain bike programs for St Leonard's College students for 5 + years now.  Our students get a lot out of these programs learning a multitude of practical skills from bike handling through to road safety and awareness. The obstacle courses they set-up on campus are incredibly popular and alluring for all skill levels and ages (year 5 through to year 10). Warren and his team of instructors are passionate and engaging and provide a fresh alternative to normal sport activity.
